Note: Color 6 is a dyed chestnut brown shade on virgin Indian hair. It can be safely darkened or lightened by 1–2 levels, but further chemical processing is not recommended for longevity.

Lifespan Guide:

• Natural/dark colors: up to 8 fittings

These estimates are based on using recommended aftercare products and avoiding chemical exposure. Heat styling, incorrect shampoo, and poor maintenance will shorten the lifespan.

Fitting Requirements:

• Suitable for silky straight to medium hair types

• Not recommended for curly or deep wave textures

• Minimum natural hair length: shoulder length

• Hair should be layered before fitting for a more natural blend

• Always match extension density to the natural hair for proper blending

• Avoid applying to freshly dyed roots – adhesive may not bond effectively

• Scalp should be clean and dry before application

Washing & Aftercare:

• Use only sulfate-free, salt-free shampoo—especially for colored or processed hair

• Do not use clarifying or high-pH shampoos

• Swimming is not recommended, especially in chlorinated or salt water

• Moisture can weaken adhesive—if tapes get wet frequently, reseal them with a flat iron on lowest heat after drying

Styling & General Maintenance:

• Hair extensions behave like natural hair:

  • May wave in humidity

  • May frizz in dry conditions

  • Can develop split ends or tangling at the nape

• Always detangle with a wet brush or Tangle Teezer

• Use a leave-in detangler before brushing

• Avoid tugging when wet, and always brush gently from ends upward

• Daily brushing and moisturizing are essential for long-lasting results

Coloring:

• Color 6 can be safely adjusted within 1–2 levels lighter or darker

• Further lightening or chemical processing may cause dryness, breakage, or reduced lifespan

• Never color the roots while tape-ins are applied—this causes slippage and uneven color under the adhesive

• For color lifting, use Chromaplex, Olaplex, or Silverplex to protect the hair integrity

We do not recommend DIY coloring or chemical treatment of the extensions. Always consult a professional for any adjustments.

Removal:

• Use only mineral-based tape-in removers

• Avoid vinegar, acetone, or alcohol-based products—these can damage the hair and irritate the skin

Preventing Slippage:

• Ice Tape is designed to hold securely when:

  • Applied with the correct hair thickness between tape wefts

  • Pressed firmly during application

  • Allowed to fully dry before heat styling or washing

• Slippage is typically caused by improper technique or moisture retention
