Lifespan Guidelines (With Proper Care)

Care & Maintenance

• Use only sulfate-free, salt-free shampoos, especially for blonde tones

• Avoid chemical treatments, heat, or unsuitable shampoos

• Daily brushing with a wet brush or detangling tool is essential

• Always use a detangler or leave-in conditioner before brushing

• Never pull or tug on wet hair

Pre-lightened hair should not undergo further colouring. Expect increased frizz, dryness, and a shorter lifespan if chemically treated further.

Fitting Requirements

• Best for straight to medium-thickness hair types

• Not suitable for curly or deep wave textures

• Minimum natural hair length: Shoulder length

• Hair should be layered before fitting for seamless blending

• Match the density of natural hair for best results

• Oily scalps should be washed more frequently

Water & Heat Exposure

• Swimming is not recommended, especially for blonde hair, due to chlorine and saltwater drying effects

• If bonds get wet often, re-seal using a flat iron on low heat to dry and secure them

• Always ensure bonds are completely dry after washing

Chemical Treatments & Colouring

• Hair can be dyed darker only (professional colouring recommended)

• Do not install onto freshly coloured roots—adhesive may fail

• Never colour the client’s natural hair while tapes are in place

  • The section under the tape won't take colour properly and bonds may loosen

• Avoid toners or shampoos that drastically change pH

Use only mineral-based removers. Do not use vinegar, acetone, or alcohol-based solutions.

What to Expect

As with natural hair, your extensions may:

• Develop waves in humid weather

• Become frizzy in dry climates

• Split if not trimmed or moisturised

• Tangle at the nape area, especially with longer lengths

• Require regular TLC and product support to look their best

Slippage Prevention

• Ensure correct hair amount between tapes

• Press bonds together firmly

• Dry thoroughly after every wash

• Slippage typically occurs only if tapes are not properly applied
